Maths Curriculum Lead: Miss L Farrar

Here at St Aidan's, pupils have positive attitudes towards maths . They thrive on challenge and have a clear understanding of when they’re successful. Teachers carry out regular formative and summative assessment to provide instant feedback and intervene fast to close gaps in learning.  Pupils begin their Mathematical journey in EYFS using a mastery approach and continue this into Year 6 so that they can become confident and competent problem solvers, able to apply their mathematical skills to a variety of every day life scenarios.
